Japanese Cheesesteak

Directions

  1. Marinate the shaved beef in a bowl with 4 tbsp of Bachan’s Original for 1 hour.

  2. Preheat the griddle to medium high heat 10 minutes prior to cooking.

  3. Thinly slice the onion and green bell pepper.

  4. Cook the marinated beef on a griddle. Add the onions, carrots and green peppers in a separate pile then season with salt and pepper.

  5. Flip the beef after 3-4 minutes then shred with two metal spatulas as it cooks.

  6. Top the pile of beef with 3 slices of provolone cheese then add the vegetables on top.

  7. Mix everything together once the cheese is melted.

  8. Add a light drizzle of Bachan's on top, then add 3 additional slices of cheese.

  9. Stuff the everything into a hoagie roll then wrap the hoagie in some foil and let it sit for 2-3 minutes to allow the cheese to melt.

  10. Slice in half then enjoy!

Bachan'sThe OriginalBold, fresh and filled with umami flavor.

The one that started it all, the O.G. Japanese Barbecue Sauce – bold, savory-sweet, and so authentic, it should be notarized. Our crave-worthy flavors come from traditionally brewed soy sauce, mirin, ginger, garlic and green onion– only clean, simple ingredients.

Growing up, my bachan (aka granny) would cook up the most amazing meals with our family’s sauce. Now, we are honored to share this multi-generational recipe with you. Let’s eat! Itadakimasu!
