Miso Gyudon Beef Bowl

Directions

1. In a skillet over medium high heat, add the neutral oil. When hot, add the onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until soft, about 5 minutes.

2. Add the beef stock to the skillet along with Bachan’s Miso Barbecue Sauce. Add the beef into the pan, nestling into the onions and stock. Bring to a gentle simmer to reduce the sauce and braise the beef, about 8-10 minutes.

3. Divide the rice evenly between two bowls spoon on some of the sauce. Top the bowls evenly with the beef and onions. Finish both bowls with sliced green onions and 1/2 an egg, if desired. Enjoy immediately.

ingredients

• 1 tbsp neutral oil
• 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
• 3/4 cup no sodium beef stock
• 1/4 cup Bachan’s Miso Barbecue Sauce
• 1/2 lb thinly sliced beef (chuck or ribeye)
• 3 cups cooked short grain rice, to serve
• sliced green onions, to finish
• 1 soft boiled eggs cut in half, if desired
