5-Ingredient Miso Chicken


1. Coat the chicken thighs evenly in Bachan’s Miso Barbecue Sauce and marinate for minimum 30 minutes and up to 24 hours in the fridge.

2. Remove the chicken from the fridge and wipe off any excess marinade.

3. Add some oil to a non-stick pan over medium-low heat. Add the chicken, skin side down. Cook, rendering the chicken fat and crisping the skin, for 10 minutes, without moving.

4. When the skin is crispy and brown, flip the chicken and continue to cook until the chicken is cooked through 5-10 more minutes, depending on size.

5. Remove the chicken from the pan and cut into 1/2 inch strips. Serve with rice, sesame seeds, and cucumber slices as desired.


1/4 cup Bachan's Miso Japanese Barbecue Sauce
4 boneless, skin on chicken thighs
Toasted sesame seeds
Rice, to serve
Sliced cucumbers, to serve
