Smoked Asian Meatballs

Directions

1. Mix ingredients together in a large bowl. Get them mixed well, but don’t overwork the mix.

2. Form 3 oz. meatballs and place in an oiled cast iron pan. Smoke on your @traegergrills at 225° for 1 hour or until internal temp is 150°.

3. Remove from grill and bring back to the stovetop. Place on high heat and sear all sides of meatballs. Turn heat down to medium low and wait a few minutes before adding additional Bachan’s Original Japanese Barbecue Sauce to the pan. Add Bachan’s to the pan and coat each meatball, cook for 3-5 minutes until sauce has reduced and thickened.

4. Garnish meatballs with toasted sesame seeds and remaining green onion. Serve with white rice!

The one that started it all, the O.G. Japanese Barbecue Sauce – bold, savory-sweet, and so authentic, it should be notarized. Our crave-worthy flavors come from traditionally brewed soy sauce, mirin, ginger, garlic and green onion– only clean, simple ingredients.

Growing up, my bachan (aka granny) would cook up the most amazing meals with our family’s sauce. Now, we are honored to share this multi-generational recipe with you. Let’s eat! Itadakimasu!
