Gluten-Free Mussels & Fries

Directions

1. In a large sauté pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Cook the shallots and garlic until soft, but not brown, about 2 minutes.

2. Add the dashi and Bachan’s Gluten Free Barbeque Sauce and bring to a boil. Add the mussels and steam until open, about 4-5 minutes.

3. When the mussels are cooked, stir in the butter and flat leaf parsley and season with freshly ground pepper. Enjoy immediately with fries.

Bachan'sGluten-FreeFeaturing gluten-free tamari, same bold flavor

What is Tamari? A Japanese soy sauce that is naturally gluten-free, made with only soybeans and no wheat. It’s richer, more complex, and has a more concentrated umami flavor than regular soy sauce.

Growing up, my bachan (aka granny) would cook up the most amazing meals with our family’s sauce. Now, we are honored to share this multi-generational recipe with you. Let’s eat! Itadakimasu!
