Sweet and Spicy Carrot Bacon

Directions

1. Mix together Bachan’s Sweet and Spicy Barbecue Sauce, 1 tbsp neutral oil, garlic powder, paprika, and pepper in a small bowl. Set aside.

2. Use a vegetable peeler to peel long strips of carrot, so they resemble the shape and size of bacon strips.

3. Add the Bachan’s Sweet and Spicy sauce mixture to a baking dish and lay the carrot strips in the sauce, making sure all the strips are saturated and coated. Let marinate for 15 minutes or up to 1 hour.

4. Heat up a bit of oil in a non-stick skillet over medium to medium-high heat. Add the carrot strips, being careful not to crowd the pan, in a single layer. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side, or until they start to get golden and crispy. When done, move the strips of carrot onto a wire rack placed in a baking sheet to let cool.

5. Cool completely to let the carrot bacon crisp. Enjoy dipped in extra Sweet and Spicy Bachan’s.
