WHO IS OCTO?
Octo has been a part of Bachan’s since the very beginning. He is our irresistibly lovable mascot, smiling at the world from every bottle we share with the world. He has one mission – to help people enjoy Bachan’s because Octo knows life is better when you’re surrounded by people you love, eating food that you love. Until the whole world knows and loves Bachan’s, Octo will be on a mission to make sure it does.
WHY AN OCTOPUS
As a surfer, our founder Justin has always had a love for the ocean and respect for octopus as sea creatures. When he started Bachan’s, he knew he wanted to have an octopus in the logo because they possess all the traits you need to thrive in business: adaptability, resiliency, grit, and intelligence. Justin and his wife Chanra took their girls on a family heritage trip to Cambodia and Japan in 2017, and while they were there, Justin got a tattoo of an octopus from Ganji at Tokyo Three Tides. The tattoo inspired the design of the Bachan’s logo, and the headband that our Octo wears represents Japan, where Justin’s family recipe originated from.
